Description: Class registration fee is $40 (includes the $10 entry fee). The pattern is $10 and they will need a Studio 180 Design Ruler - Wing Clipper 1, which costs $32.50. Both can be purchased the day of class if the student doesn't already have it.

Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s)

Description: Artist Trading Cards or ATC’s are a fun way to dip your feet into mixed media. We will transform a sheet of paper using paint, a variety of gel pens and markers, rubber stamps and collage papers. The paper will then be cut down into trading card size and more details added before we exchange cards with other participants in the class.

Fee: $40 which includes your entry into the Wayward Threads Expo and all supplies for the class.

Maximum # of students is 20 and minimum is 7. Class will be cancelled if there are not 7 participants registered. Minimum age is 8 years with an accompanying adult.

Instructor Bio: Leigh McDonald taught art quilting for 20 years regionally and nationally. She is the author of Adventures in Circles: Quilt Designs from Start to Finish, published by Martingale, ©2008. Since retiring from teaching quilting she has been delving into the realm of mixed media as well as fiber art. Leigh loves to teach and her classes are always fun and informative. Leigh lives in Proctorville, Ohio with her husband and beagle.

Simple Book with Removable Pages and Pockets

Description: Learn how to make a simple book from recycled cardboard. The book has removable pages so that you can add or subtract pages as you desire. We will also make pages with pockets for storing special bits and pieces. We will do some collage on the covers during class, if time allows. A fun book to make and so easy! Leigh will provide lots of samples to get your imagination going! Some ideas include a travel book with pockets for tickets and souvenirs, a sewing themed book, a book of color swatches, etc.
